Competitions are great fun and provide invaluable performance opportunities, but our main goal is to see personal growth in our students both on and off the stage, developing a strong work ethic, dedication, self-drive and a positive support for each other that will endure in all of their future endeavors.
Being part of the RSD Competition Teams is a special and very rewarding experience and demands commitment. Regular attendance to their weekly Competition Team schedule is crucial to the success of the individual and their team.

In order to select the very best performers for each Team, an audition is required. Prospective competitors may choose which Team(s) to audition for. You can choose to try out for all Teams or just for one. If you try out for a Team, you are committing to train weekly and compete with that Team if selected.

2.30-3.45 Jnr Song & Dance / Jnr Jazz with Mr JP (last 15 mins for singing audition) Ages 7-10
3.45-4.45 Snr Jazz / Snr Contemporary with Ms Sudhee Ages 11+
Sat 10th Dec 2022
2.15-3.15 Snr Solo/Duo Contemporary with Ms Nina Ages 12+
3.15-4.15 Jnr Hip Hop with Mr Reagan Ages 8-10
4.15-5.15 Snr Hip Hop with Mr Reagan Ages 11+
Auditions will start with a short warm-up, followed by learning a short combo/choreography, then perform in small groups. Some improvisation may also be required. For the Jnr Song & Dance, the last 15 mins will be allocated to the singing audition where each child will sing a very short excerpt from a well-known song which will be learned and practiced pre-audition.
All auditions will take place at our Wong Chuk Hang studio. Auditions are closed to parents/caregivers. All students must wear appropriate dance attire with neat hair and must be at the studio at least 20 minutes before the audition time.
