Ronny Wong |
Mr Ronny Wong is a dancer, teacher and choreographer of Contemporary Dance. He graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Contemporary Dance.
In 2007, he was awarded the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Scholarship and pursued a Master of Arts degree in Dance Performance at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, England. During his stay in London from 2007 to 2012, Ronny worked with renowned choreographers and organizations such as Lea Anderson, Luca Silvestrini, Maresa Von Stockert and Candoco Dance Company. Since 2012, Ronny has been on the dance faculty of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He has also taught workshops & classes at Taipei American School (Taiwan), More Than Dance ( Philippines), Young Vic Theatre (UK), Chisenhale Dance Space (UK), DanceXChange (UK), CCDC Dance Centre (HK). His choreographic works include Thea and Passion of the Earth. He also performed 'From The Top', a dance choreographed by Victor Fung, in the 43rd Hong Kong Arts Festival and went on international tours to perform the same work afterwards. Besides serving as an outreach programme facilitator of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Contemporary Dance Series for four years, Ronny also curated the key performance for the Longines Hong Kong International Races Gala Dinner. Recently, Ronny joined the creative team of the new opera Beauty and Sadness directed by Carolyn Choa. |
