Jacqui Roberts - Founder/Creative Director

Jacqui Roberts began her dance training in the UK at The Hammond School and The Royal Ballet School. She gained qualifications in both ISTD and RAD ballet, modern, tap dance and national dance.  She became a frequent visitor to Pineapple Dance Studios (London, UK) learning jazz and hip-hop dance from some of the world's best teachers and choreographers before moving to Hong Kong in 2002, teaching RAD ballet, jazz and tap dance. In 2004, she became a registered teacher with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (London, UK). In 2005, she founded Red Shoe Dance Company and is both the creative director and principal teacher and choreographer.

Giselle Liu

Giselle Liu

Giselle Liu was raised in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada. From a very early age, she explored many forms of dance including jazz, hip hop, modern, lyrical, ballet, contemporary, and Chinese dance. Her awards include the title of Canadian Dancer of the Year 2004, as well as a Senior British Columbia Provincial Winner for Modern Dance.  Her passions encompass performing, choreography and dance education. Giselle recently completed her Bachelor of Arts degree for dance at the University of Calgary (2008). She joined Red Shoe Dance Company in September 2008. 

Rachel Nowosad

Rachel Nowosad

Rachel Nowosad began her dance training at the age of 8, performing and competing throughout North America in regional and national dance competitions before finally graduating from Canada’s No. 1 Arts High School, Canterbury, where she specialised in ballet and contemporary and modern dance. She began her teaching career preparing students for ballet, jazz and tap dance competitions before moving to Hong Kong in 2005 to establish herself a dance teacher and choreographer in modern dance, teaching freestyle jazz, ballet, modern, contemporary and tap dance to children and teenagers. She joined Red Shoe Dance Company in September 2008.

Ben Yeung

Ben Yeung

Ben Yeung has been dancing for over 10 years, earning his first 'Best Dancer' award at the age of 17. Both an outstanding performer and choreographer, Ben won the world's first Hollaback Crew Dance Competition in Singapore and went on to lead his 17-member team on tour throughout Asia and Europe for the Singapore Tourism Board. He has performed as lead dancer at several live music concerts and continues to perform and conduct workshops for live events and television throughout Asia.  He joined Red Shoe Dance Company as a part-time teacher in October 2007.

Alfred Lowe

Alfred Lowe

Alfred Lowe was born and raised in New York City and received his formal dance training at Broadway Dance Center. Later he began teaching at Broadway Dance Center, learning to teach from the best mentors and instructors in the world. He now has over 20 years experience teaching and performing which has allowed him to travel the world, inspiring both young and old. He teaches Tap, Hip Hop and House at all levels with a great deal of his choreography winning national championships and several of his students winning major dance titles. He also choreographs for NBA and NFL professional cheerleading teams. He has performed with some of the best artists in the world including Gregory Hines, Savion Glover and the legendary Michael Jackson. He joined Red Shoe Dance Company as a part-time teacher in November 2008.
