Queenie first became interested in dance at the age of 8 when she joined an after school dance club at her local school. She went on to complete her formal dance training at The Studio and Harbour Dance Centre, Vancouver, Canada. She then received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the School for Contemporary Arts at Simon Fraser University, Canada. During these four years of study, she explored many forms of dance such as Modern, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Jazz dance styles.
In 2006, Queenie went on to complete her teacher training program at Perform Art College, Vancouver and traveled to New York to study at Broadway Dance Center, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and STEPS on Broadway. In 2008, she moved to Hong Kong to complete a Master of Fine Arts in Dance at The Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts. Recently, she has received opportunities to work for the HKAPA Gifted Young Dancer Programme and the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation as a choreographer. She joined Red Shoe Dance Company in September 2010.
