Jazz Dance is a very popular dance style, particularly for those trained in classical ballet who wish to cross over into modern dance. Jazz focuses on body alignment, strength and flexibility with neat, precise footwork and strong arm movements and alignments. It is often associated with dance musicals such as  "Chicago" and "Fame". Although technical in nature, there is a strong emphasis on individual style. Classes include warm up exercises, isolations, travelling steps and choreography, ending with a long stretch. For those students who show strong technical potential and a passion for jazz dance, they will be invited to join our ADAPT Examination Program (click for more details).

Jazz Dance at Quarry Bay will be held in the Gymnasium.
A uniform is required for the classes consisting of:
